  Served as Air Force advisor to the Civil Air Patrol units in a 6-state region of the Southwest U.S. Responsible for a $14 million operating budget, 8,000 personnel (200 teams) and 97 aircraft. Conducted training and evaluations that ensured effective use of Air Force resources. Managed and ensured efficient flow for all of Air Mobility Command’s cargo and passenger logistics in the United Kingdom including 6,000 aircraft, 40,000 tons of cargo, 100,000 passengers throughout the European Theater. Responsible for a $4 million operating budget and oversight of $21 million in facilities and resources Directed operations leading to the safe and efficient conduct of unit flying activities. Exercised operational control over training for 175 officer and enlisted aviators in a 200-member combat airlift unit. Analyzed training effectiveness and then planned, organized and directed flight scheduling for training and combat in support of worldwide operations. Commanded and evaluated other pilots in multi-ship formation missions. Provided time-critical planning and logistics support for every crisis across Europe and Africa. Coordinated movement of personnel, equipment and aircraft in crisis situations as well as standard operations. Briefed United States Air Force in Europe (USAFE) Leadership/Executives on a daily basis. Managed 8 flight evaluators for the 350 person unit that provided worldwide combat airlift and delivery of cargo and passengers. Oversaw the flight evaluation and standardization program, monitored effectiveness of training and in-flight evaluations and advised Commander of crew member proficiencies and performance trends. Maximized utilization rate for limited aircraft resources to ensure effective training. Led ten instructor pilots in the training and qualification of new Air Force pilot candidates Completed training program to qualify as a rated pilot in the United States Air Force. Qualified in T-37 and T-38 aircraft.
