  I am working on understanding how brain circuits support learning and memory and motivated behaviors. This includes understanding how stress, sleep, and anti-depressant drugs influence brain circuits. The primary project for which we are currently recruiting involves understanding the developmental mechanisms in the brain that cause adolescents to exhibit age dependent behaviors, such as increasing reward seeking and risk-taking behaviors. I am obtaining and analyzing information from computer software and building animal models to conduct the experiment. Show less
