      This research project on basic needs access and health insecurity among young adults in higher education is through DePaul University's Access and Attainment Research Lab. As a Graduate Research Intern, I mentor undergraduate students in qualitative research skills, develop focus group protocols, and conduct qualitative data collection, transcribing, and coding. In my role on the Suburban Cook County Urban Agriculture Gap Analysis Project, I am writing a literature review on the feasibility and benefits of urban agriculture, specifically community gardens. I also conduct field visits and interviews with area garden managers and perform qualitative coding using Dedoose. The findings of the study will be used to inform Cook County actions regarding support of community gardens to improve fresh food access.
