      US Open Ballperson

-Tennis is my favorite sport so it was a dream come true to be selected to be a ball-person for the 2013 US Open. I got the chance to ball boy for James Blake, Stan Wawrinka, Nick Kyrgios, and numerous others! It was the experience of a lifetime.

      Director

Was one of four directors for one of the largest university based TEDx events in the country. In my two years as director we increased attendance 20% year over year, resulting in us successfully selling out our 2018 event (1,200 tickets sold). Responsibilities included researching potential speakers, performing cold outreach to target speakers, curation, planning, logistics, fundraising, hiring/training/managing a team of 35+volunteers, ticket sales, marketing, and more.

My main focus entering 2023 was to take the foundation we had built across our function and scale it to help us hit some aggressive growth goals for 2023 while remaining as lean as possible. My top focus at this time was figuring out ways to collect as much data as possible from our team to help us inform the effectiveness of past initiatives and what to prioritize moving forward. We were able to successfully setup and rollout a handful of quantitive and qualitative approaches to collecting feedback including eNPS, post training survey, career services survey, manager surveys, and one on one career services convos. We were able to get over 90% response rates from the team on all forms which gave us a lot of feedback/data to work with. It also meant things like setting up basic infrastructure like financial KPI's for both L&D and HR plus dashboards, a monthly reporting cadence for every department and significantly ramping the number of training's we held to certify leaders in the company on interviewing and training to help us more than triple our interview/on-boarding capacity while staying lean. The last big bucket was focusing on taking the processes we had and figuring out how to automate as many repetitive, manual tasks as we could across recruiting, L&D and HR. The other main project we were focused on was increasing the amount of training content and courses in Bandalier University. I oversaw the creation of our Client Success 101 and 201 courses, both of which got successfully rolled out prior to the end of Q2 in 2023. Show less When I was promoted to Director of People operations, I was the only full-time team member on the People Ops side of the business. In my time as Director I scaled this side of the business from just myself to a team of six underneath me (three managers, three entry level team members) across three departments (recruiting, L&D, HR, PBP). I trained all new hires myself and helped develop three team members with zero experience from entry level into team leads/managers who successfully owned the day to day functions of their department.Around the time of my promotion, we were coming off of a period of rapid growth where we had more than doubled in size in less than a couple months (~30 to ~60 team members). This had led to some inevitable growing pains from scaling so quickly, chiefly a spike in turnover, new hires ramping slower, and an overwhelmed management team. To address these problems, I was given the task of building an L&D department from scratch. In the year that followed, I took the lead on designing and implementing a wide array of L&D and HR related programs aimed at improving our onboarding, training, coaching, career growth, performance management, and employee engagement infrastructure. All of these initiatives contributed to a 25% reduction in turnover, a 31% increase in training satisfaction scores, an 18% decrease in time to ramp, and 10x increase in clients hiring team members directly. Show less Officially moved over to the People Ops side of the business full-time as the 2nd hire in the department. My primary focus when I joined was helping to build the infrastructure and processes to set us up for success as we transitioned to a nationwide remote recruiting strategy. Within six months of joining the team, I had helped to successfully scale our team from ~30 to ~60 full-time equivalents.I had received positive feedback on my impact on the recruiting side of the organization and was then given the task of building out a more structured initial training program for all new hires. In the summer of 2021 I built our new hire training program from scratch and trialed it with three different new hire classes. After receiving positive feedback from new hires and managers on the impact of the program, I was promoted to Director of People Operations and tasked with the responsibility of building out a full L&D department from scratch. Show less As a program manager, I managed a book of four early stage (seed round, Series A, Series B) SaaS clients with a team of 10-20 sales reps reporting directly into me.As manager, I built GTM outbound sales development campaigns for four clients across finance (Cube), supply chain (Nivoda), real estate (Movoto) and education (Embrace), three of which were the highest performing campaigns in the companies history. On the Cube campaign specifically, the email cadences I built had the highest highest open (83%), click (12%), positive reply (4%), and appointment setting rates (2.5%) in company history.Hired, trained, managed and developed 20+ entry level SDR’s, seven of which were promoted into leadership roles, three were hired directly by their clients, and six others are still successfully working in SaaS sales today.
