Whenua Haumanu (Nurturing the Land through Pastoral Grazing) is one of the most comprehensive studies undertaken of pastoral farming (conventional & regenerative) in an Aotearoa New Zealand context. It aims to provide a robust scientific and holistic evidence base by exploring both regenerative farming practices alongside conventional pastoral practices on soil health, pasture production, animal production health and welfare, environment outcomes and product quality. In doing so it will test how much of our current pastoral practices are already regenerative and identify potential new areas to keep improving. Show less
