  This project investigates the genetic diversity of bacteria thriving in petroleum-rich soils of western Rajasthan. Genomic DNA was meticulously extracted from these specialized bacteria, followed by the targeted amplification of the 16SrRNA gene using PCR. ARDRA, employing restriction digestion, provided distinctive genetic fingerprints. Detailed restriction analysis using PylEph and NTSyspc software enhanced precision. Relationships among bacterial strains were established, visualized through a dendrogram, showcasing the intricate genetic interplay in this unique microbial community. This interdisciplinary approach unveils the genetic landscape of petroleum-metabolizing bacteria, offering valuable insights into their diversity and relationships. Show less
