      I was the manager of the flagship store in the Islands primer shopping center (Ala Moana Center, Palm Blvd), I also help manage the two sister stores at Kahala Mall and Pearl Ridge Center. After a becoming store of the year I took on additional roles as assistant buy which allowed me to travel to the outer island stores on Maui and Kauai to review their sales and merchandise the store. I traveled twice a year to the Western Shoe Associations conventions where we would review all the new fall or sprint lines and place all major preorders there for the coming 6 months. This was a major time in the buying cycle which could make or break a store’s sales for that time. Show less

      Store Manager for the First Famous Footwear Outlet Store to open in Hawaii, I worked on and was responsible for the opening of this first flagship store in the islands. I work on the operations of a 10,000 sqft retail store. I handled banking, ordering and I was to hire the staffing of one of the most successful of the outlets to open in the 1990’s for Brown Shoe.

      I was to maintain key item inventories for Duty Free and Duty Paid merchandise.I conducted shop visits where I filed new orders based on sales reports. I worked on remerchandising whole sections of my field of responsibility in the different retail stores.I was responsible for general overall relationships with stores and vendors as well as corporate level personnel in Florence Italy, Geneva Switzerland and San Francisco USA.I obtain written authorization for returns of Duty Free and Duty Paid goods from the vendors and made sure they were able to pass through US Customs with all the right paper work.I was responsible for generating monthly purchase orders for goods and maintaining monthly inventory files and reports then implement the orders.I was responsible to assist main buyer in other duties that arise in daily operations. I worked with the Government Accounts and supported all areas of business as well this was an unheard of position at the time and I was a ground the first of a few account manager to be tasked with this new field of work a true Multi Segment Account Manager.I focused on DOD and Federal account types as well as Enterprise types, I was responsible for developing wireless sales strategy for the DOD in Hawaii into the new Messaging and Data streaming services, I was able to work on deploying large scale implementation which I was responsible for planning with multiple end users and commands. I have helped with solution selling and DR solutions from small scale to very large scale plans.
