  Working directly with the Manager of Financial Services, I was primarily responsible for the day to day management and financial accounting, and reporting. I also played a key role in the budgeting process, external audit co-ordination, along with other non-finance related responsibilities such as insurance, workers compensation, facilities management and council elections. For an 8 month period I acted in the role of Manager financial services, overseeing an eight member finance team with direct reporting responsibilities to the Executive Manager of Finance and Corporate Services and the wider Executive Leadership team During this period, I had the opportunity to work in a number of roles within the financial services division, including Payroll / Human Resources, Accounts Payable and Receivable, and Property rates. 12 month traineeship in Finance and Corporate Services department, primarily providing administrative support to the various teams within the department.
