In this role, I am responsible for identifying reporting improvements, producing functional requirements, testing user interface functionality, and communicating and developing/executing training staff on these improvements. I also triage FAS development data and reporting needs, train staff to pull and enter data correctly, and ensure data integrity through documentation of policies and procedures and auditing of data. On an annual basis, I'll oversee the Annual Report review process, which is integral to the accurate development of the FAS Annual Report (stewardship). I am also a partner to the FAS Gift Planning team, supporting their new director in creating business processes and identifying areas for improvement for their team. Show less I am a founding member of an internal working group aimed at improving diversity, inclusion, and belonging within our organization. In this role, I created content for monthly discussions, create dand shared facilitation guides with conversation moderators, and managed content related to DIB efforts on the intranet page. I also led quarterly strategic subcommittee meetings to determine the calendar of upcoming discussion topics. I have also led subcommittees to plan annual Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Weeks and observance of Pride Month. At the start of this working group, I was involved in creating an internal mission and values statement, diversity statement for job postings, and strategic plan for enhancing diversity, inclusion, and belonging within Alumni Affairs and Development. In 2019 and early 2020, I was the designated representative of Alumni Affairs and Development within the University Stakeholder DIB group; responsible for reviewing and contributing to University-wide strategic implementation of DIB initiatives and representing efforts taking place within the AA&D Department. Show less In addition to my responsibilities as a staff assistant, in the group leader role, I was a part of the planning and implementation of the following with my co-group leader: scheduling orientation and onboarding session for new staff assistants, participation in the interviewing process for all staff assistant and some director-level candidates in Capital Giving and Gift Planning, determining timely content for and leading meetings for staff assistants, including the communication of process changes, opportunities for additional projects, and new hires/departures. Additional responsibilities included coordinating with the director of Education and Training team to assess and create learning opportunities for staff assistants, working with operations around processes in reporting, informing systems upgrades and overseeing year-end data review, and coordinating interim administrative support as needs arise. Show less As a staff assistant, I provided support for a Regional Director of Capital Giving and a Senior Regional Director of Capital Giving by arranging travel, creating briefings on major gift donors for meetings with administrators, supporting the volunteer committee planning for Chicago, and tracking expenses. Additional responsibilities included creating agendas for a bi-weekly regional planning meeting, pulling portfolio data for officers to review, supporting the planning of twice yearly stewardship lunches for high-level New York donors, and maintaining data integrity through input into the Advance database. Special projects I've taken part in include the development of regional plans for two core regions and the creation of a list of alumni with board memberships at various regional private schools. -Informational Interview Program: I led the creation and implementation of a team mentoring program, which entered the pilot phase in early 2017. -AA&D-wide Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee, which is tasked with developing an office-wide culture shift to implement inclusivity within the AA&D environment. Through this, I worked with a team to develop a series of discussions intended to create a dialogue for issues in diversity. Show less
