    • Sunoco Refining & Marketing

      Jun 2011 - Dec 2016

During these years I served as the acting General Manager for three stores, two in Sarasota, one in Bradenton. I served as the GM for Coop 2585 - Bee Ridge and Lockwood Ridge, Coop 2586 - Bee Ridge and Sawyer, and Coop 2446 at 5912 15th Street East in Bradenton. All stores saw fair to significant improvements over budgets (prior year plus 3%) under my tenure. I was responsible for day to day operations, accounting and balancing, safe auditing and loading, hiring, ordering (shirts/office supplies/ULINE items), as well as providing excellent customer service at all locations and acting as the Certified Training Manager for Assistant Managers at my stores that were ready for promotion as well as helping train the Manager at the 12th street and US 41 location. I also maxed out my bonuses in all 3 stores by increasing my SOPs - Store Operating Profits, to way above what they had been previously thanks to decreases in turnover, keeping items in stock, and marketing to bring in new customers and clients. Show less Within my first year of employment at Sunoco (R&M), I was promoted from Customer Service Associate, to Shift Manager, and to Assistant Manager in all less than 5 months. My new Area Manager, Joe Sonnenberg came to me and told me he had a GM opportunity for me, but it was a store that was losing money, inventory, employees and in a "not-so-well neighborhood". This store was 5912 15th St E, Bradenton, FL 34240. This store was on a monthly - quarterly inventory audit schedule because of 2-3% loss of product vs retail sales, which anything above a 1% product loss vs store sales for the period is considered unacceptable. Also, the store was only averaging $75,000 - $90,000 in inside sales. I used marketing, audits and cycle and cost counts to stop employee and customer theft, and I basically started with a whole new team that I hired in myself once I learned I had to terminate multiple employees for theft at the store. Once I was settled, in less than only two months, the store began to prosper for the next three to four years. We saw store sale increases from 10 - 15% over budget from prior year, each and every year. We were doing $100,000 - $120,000 or more in inside store sales in a 500 square foot convenience store vs prior month of prior year. I also went out to big business around the area and set them up with Sunoco credit cards to save them money and bring in, not only all their gas purchases for their big construction and semi trucks, but also the drivers coming in helped promote our food programs and added store sales by bringing those customers that would not normally be inside the store, in to look at our food selection and excellent product execution. • All Aboard Charter & Tours / Larry Tasmin Realty & Property Management

      Feb 2018 - Oct 2019
      Maintenance Specialist; Self Contracted Employee

Maintenance Specialist at All Aboard Charters until the sale of the business. During this first half I was in charge of maintenance at the Myrtle St complex as well remodeling Stardust to be ready for sale by the Owner. My first job duties were during the short stint of the bussing company still being open during which I helped to remodel the inside; new electrical, drywall, painting, flooring, and renovation of the warehouse including helping to add in bumper bars for the trucks to keep them from running into the automatic gate, as well as asphalt cutting to put fill in concrete poles for the new gate after it was destroyed as well as helping to put up the fence and the programming of the Automatic Gate Opener and PIN codes for eachIndividual driver so they could enter the front gate and be tracked by PINs entered. I also programmed the existing security cameras into a DVR that would hold months of footage and allow the owner to see said cameras from his cell phone while not on property. After that, I cleaned the decals from buses, allowing him to sell them to other companies and clients once the company was sold and finished reconstruction on the inside for the new company, Dolphin Transportation, to move in and run their Sarasota branch rented from the owner, Larry. Then I went to work on Stardust where I demo’d out a lot of different items as well as moving old abandoned items out to the dumpster. We repainted inside to get it market ready, and I even patched, repainted, and resealed the entire metal roof to stop leaks that had started while the building was unused and degrading. I replaced ceiling tiles that were ruined from leaks, and finished the building and got it ready for sale. From there I worked at the owners personal house, doing everything from painting, custom wooden dock, to custom cut stairs and replaced wood on the back wrap around porch. Show less
