  Life guard

  I have been a lifeguard with the swim center for 6 years. I am in charge of checking the pool chemicals and surrounding areas before swimmers arrive to insure safety for those who enter the pool. I also assist in teaching swim classes to swimmers as young as 6 months all the way to adulthood. Through lifeguarding I have learned to be very observant and practiced basic first aid and CPR skills.

  First Aider

  I worked cheerleading camps across the south east with an average of 400 cheerleaders at each camp. I was in charge of checking and managing every athletes medical information and insurance, taping and evaluating injuries and first aid to all athletes. Through this internship I gained great experience in working large events, managing insurance and communication between parents, coaches and athletes.
