      Girl Scout Gold Award Girl Scouts of America Apr 2016 The Girl Scout Gold Award represents the highest achievement in Girl Scouting. To earn my Girl Scout Gold Award, I started a reading program at my local library called Book Buddies. This program allowed young students to read to members of the middle school, high school and community for 45 minutes every week during July, when summer school was on break.
