  Engineering Tutor

  In this extracurricular position as a tutor at the Grainger Engineering Library, I was studying at designated tables while other students were free to come ask me questions about homework or the material for a list of engineering student courses I felt proficient at. These courses on my list included mostly mechanics and mathematics. Once in a while, particularly the week before midterms and exams, I would hold review sessions for specific courses where students can gather to study together and ask me any questions they may have. Occasionally, a student would request talking about their educational journey and their questions ranged from advice on overcoming academic struggles to recommendations on the order of courses to take each semester. I mentored the students using my own personal experiences while listening to their thoughts and opinions. Show less

  Quality Engineer Intern

  My role was to help ensure product quality through rigorous testing with an engineering team by updating Java infrastructure coding with automation scripts. The main focus is to detect bugs in software infrastructure and create reports for developers with the goal of fixing them. Another focus was to test out new features to make sure they are ready in a future update for the customers. I took into account both customer requests and coworker opinions with my quality engineer team in order to plan out each software update implemented into the cloud platform product offered by the company.   Business Analyst Intern

  For my summer project, I was presented with a problem to solve and that is the inefficiencies of the company's applicant tracking system (ATS). I interviewed key stakeholders and, through their user feedback, identified the major friction areas in the usability of their ATS. Primarily, the issue lied with the presentation of applicant information being difficult to process effectively. So, I led a team of 4 interns on a project to create a candidate visualization tool in Java that provides a filtering feature and creates easy-to-read profiles, designed through the use of UX techniques, from the company's ATS.For my fall project, I studied a set of 845 search fund investments through demographic analysis and networking. I looked at failed search funds data from the internet and reached out to people in order to establish the impact of different situations. I compiled the data into a comprehensive spreadsheet sectioned by each identified risk factor for success. This allows for risk minimization in the company's future financial endeavors and my findings were presented to a director of the organization. Show less

  Product Management Co-op (Explore)

  Working in the Explore team of product managers at Peapod, I improve the customer's personalization experience and the company's online grocery shopping platform. I work alongside other product managers and engineers to improve the exploration of grocery products by helping our users find their staple grocery items and discover new ones. I was involved in the regular product-development lifecycle at Peapod and collaborate with my coworkers in the Agile Scrum methodologies framework in order to deliver each sprint continuous fixes and new features for our users. I took the lead with the numerous responsibilities of a product manager, including managing Jira tickets, product review of fixes, UX research participation, dependency management for new features and replacement projects, authoring dozens of Confluence articles in our team's wiki to improve cross-functional collaboration, A/B testing setup, data analysis applications, and much more in order to deliver the optimal online grocery shopping and delivery service for our brands.
