      Nearly 200 years old, the Frigate Unicorn is one of the world’s most remarkable historic ships and Scotland’s only example of a wooden warship.My role is varied and involves many different aspects of running the museum and it's events.Primarily I develop event ideas for the public, coordinate with local cultural and heritage organisations, plan events/ exhibitions and manage their final execution. I work alongside the Development Manager, Education and Engagement Officer, Front of House and numerous volunteers.I am also involved in coordinating our volunteers and recruiting new volunteers to help on board the ship.When I have time I help our Private Events Manager plan weddings and private parties on board.Exhibitions curated to date:March 2016- 'A Woman's Ship: WW2 through the eyes of the Unicorn's WRNs' as part of Dundee Women's Festival 2016June 2016- 'Visions of the Sea' as part of Print Festival Scotland 2016August 2016-'Sailing by Starlight' as part of Blue Skies Festival 2016March 2017- 'Women o' Dundee' as part of Dundee Women's Festival 2017 Show less
