  I joined the RPS ecology team in the St Ives office in 2005 and have worked my way up to a Senior Consultant Ecologist. My responsibilities include writing ecology chapters for Environmental Statements, management strategies and NE EPS licence applications. I am an experienced project manager, competent with tendering for new work, managing budgets and client liaison. I regularly tender for, plan and carry out protected species surveys and monitoring schemes, analyse data, and produce reports. I line manage two junior members of staff and undertake quality assurance of reports and tenders as well as provide advice to clients and other staff regarding ecological survey, methodology, impact assessment and planning/legislative requirements. I hold NE survey and mitigation licenses for Dormice, Great Crested Newts and Water Vole and undertake Phase 1 Habitat and protected species scoping surveys; Great Crested Newts, reptiles, Water Vole, bat and Badger survey. I work with a variety of clients, from individual landowners to utilities companies and large residential developers. Show less
