      I was chosen, along with 12 outstanding students from Europe, to participate at the Biozentrum Research Summer program in Basel. Under the guidance of Professor Richard Neher, I developed an innovative method for tracking recombination in a population of bacteriophages. I leveraged the High-Throughput and efficiency of ONT sequencing data to characterize an entire population of heterogeneous phages at once. This method demonstrated to be as accurate as clone screening but tremendously faster. The extreme excitement that I had for the project led me to keep working on it after the summer school.
