  6 months of probation consisted in being mainly third-line support which was extremely beneficial. This allowed for me to experience the environment and spot areas that could be improved on. During the 6 month period the estate moved from a rememdy driven ITIM tool to an online ServiceNow platform.In doing so allowed me to utilise my ITIL certification by being able to place improvements for our team and suggest new entries and Knowledge base articles. After the 6 months, I was then moved to the AppSense (Ivanti UWM) sub-team where I helped introduce standardisation specifically in the documenting and auditing trail which ensures that anyone who joins the team whether permanent or contractor can pick up or understand how,why and when a config was made and configured. This allows for a quick analysis and ensures that we hit the ground running. I was also able to create a number of training documentation/ troubleshooting documents which were provided internally to the team which reduced a number of tickets just known as "AppSense tickets". These tickets could then be put into specific sections and allow for proper investigation to be performed. Vis mindre
