  A third-year BSc course, where students are introduced to the modelling and simulation techniques Cellular Automata, ODE's and Networks. Part of the minor in Computational Science. I teach the first-year course Research Project, where students have to use the statistical software Stata to perform empirical research, and write a paper about it. I taught the first-year courses Principles of Economics and Business I and II, where students have to read (historical) economic writings and have to write papers themselves, which were graded by me. I taught with the content of the papers and the principles of academic writing.

  I am part of the NWO VIDI project ‘A social tipping point: climate-resilient futures through transformational adaptation’. Here, I study the economic mechanisms governing transformational (mal-)adaptation to the consequences of climate change, with a focus on tipping points in socio-economic systems. For this, I will to develop agent-based models that combines fundamental (socio-)economic mechanics with a strong empirical foundation.
