The aim of the project was to analyze code commits from open source software repositories, encompassing both source code and patch discussions, in order to gain a better understanding of them.The project was mentored by Dr. Alexey Tregubov, Dr. Jeremy Abramson, and Dr. Jim Blythe.Task: The task involved conducting text summarization on the messages of code commits utilizing a diverse array of Language Models; including but not limited to GPT3, GPT4, LLaMa 2, BART, and T5; followed by the evaluation of the summaries via the ROUGE metric.
