  The Archeometry Laboratory at the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) analyzed archaeological samples from around the world to determine the trace elements that made up the samples. The samples were irradiated and their energy signature would provide a "fingerprint" of all the elements making up the sample. The results were then compared to databases of other artifacts in order to determine points of origin. This would help archaeologists to determine possible trade routes. I was responsible for overseeing the work of students who were assisting in the analysis, performing the prep work on samples, conducting the irradiation, and performing the analysis. My degree in archaeology, and minors in physics and geology were the perfect match for this position.• Prepared archaeological samples for analysis.• Conducted irradiation of samples and detection of radiation emanation.• Oversight of students who assisted in the preparation and irradiation of samples.• Developed written manuals for all aspects of the preparation of samples.• Participated in the interpretation of the data to provide to researchers utilizing Fox Pro.• Conducted tours of the research facility explaining all areas of research that was being performed at the facility.Major Accomplishments:o Lab manuals became the standard format for use in other labs in the facility.   I was Coventry's first web developer. Since that time, I've moved up through several positions to what I'm currently in. I help to manage all of Coventry's websites along with a team of people responsible for the functionality/content of the sites and the relationships with the business to create updates and enhancements to them. I work on many different small- and large-scale projects, sometimes concurrently, that involve enhancements to the websites. The computer operations division did not have any formal documentation on their processes which resulted in errors and delays in running their processes and also a lengthy time for training. I was tasked to bring order to the group by researching and documenting all the activities of the computer operators and determining the best method for presenting the information.• Developed technical documents outlining the processes needed for all functions within the computer operations division at Group Health Plan, a subsidiary of Coventry Health Care.Major Accomplishment:o Developed manuals for running all computer processes that would generate reports.o Worked with operators to develop efficiencies in running the processes that resulted in fewer errors.   I continued in the same position as with Coventry Health Care and so this is to update the change to Aetna as the new company.• Team lead of a group that manages 50+ websites for Coventry Health Care, a multi-billion dollar health insurance company (acquired by Aetna in 2012).• Supervise the activities of other team members and represent the team to management as team lead.• Involved in all aspects of design, requirements gathering, project/enhancement oversight, content management, business liaison, strategy, and functionality.• Function as a subject matter expert providing advice and strategy for other teams within IT and also the business for their applications and projects.• Manage domain and graphic assets for entire eCommerce division. • Participate in releases for deployments of enhancements and project code.• UI development, design, and support for own team as well as on an ad hoc basis for other teams’ applications such as Coventry Media Connect and BenefitExpress.• Responsible for overseeing Medicaid and Medicare websites which require government compliance regulations.Major Accomplishments:o Participated in the analysis and testing of multiple different content management systems which resulted in choosing Oracle’s Universal Content Management System (aka Stellent) as the company’s tool for managing the websites.o Project to convert the company websites from the previous content management system to the Stellent system.
