  I was set on as a junior artist and visualiser and worked up to a senior position. I learnt all aspects of the role from drawing my own type, designing adverts, drawing maps, illustrating stories for the paper and producing artwork for in-house editorial features and external clients.I was solely responsible for illustrating fashion drawings for the paper's top advertiser, Schofields, and also Lewis's. Also, whilst I was there I was asked to produce artist's impressions for the West Yorkshire police from witness's statements and which appeared on the BBC and in the press. Show less

  I was employed as a junior visualiser in the leading advertising agency in Yorkshire.I worked closely with all the creative teams, assisting them in presenting visuals for clients and being involved in hands-on pitch presentations for TV, point-of-sale and press campaigns.Client accounts worked on were Lada, Fox's Biscuits, McCain Foods and Stones.

  I was approached from Poulters by the company directors to join their upcoming new design group which was developing and growing fast and taking on new clients quickly.I was responsible directly to the creative director in this small company, and we worked closely on all the creative projects we generated. We presented, pitched and won new business in the course of my time there.

  Initially I was being employed as a freelance visualiser for this company, before they asked me to work for them on a permanent basis.I was directly responsible for design projects for clients such as Silentnight Cabinets, Dunelm Optical and other home and leisure clients. I designed and visualised room-sets and art directed photography shoots. I also designed a lot of catalogue page layouts for travel brochures.

  Photographic Project Manager/ Senior Art Director DFS and Netto

  I was initially appointed as an art director, to design and visualise campaigns within a very busy creative department.My role then evolved to become the photographic manager for the agency's main client, DFS. I was directly responsible for generating £2.25 million annually to the turnover of the agency.This lead role involved managing and implementing the photography requirements and reporting directly to the directors. I solely planned and co-ordinated schedules to extremely tight time deadlines; successfully communicating strategic requirements to other art directors and the individual photographic teams; briefing and controlling all aspects of each individual shoot and ensuring shots were delivered within time and budget. The results were presented and judged by an exacting, demanding client and creative excellence was expected every time.In this period, I also supervised a busy in-house studio ensuring completion of daily schedules for Netto, products were organised and maintaining a well-structured routine. Work as a senior Art Director for Argos on the twice-annual catalogue and designing the kids roomsets and Colourmatch range amongst other ranges. Recent project for Dulux/Argos involved designing sets, art directing and artwork.Recent work visualising for story-boards, concepts, pitchs and currently undertaking a large photography rebrand for a client.

  I set my own business up in order to offer a freelance service to relevant types of businesses I have dealt with in the past. These include advertising agencies, commercial photography studios, interior design companies and direct clients. This role is made up of two areas of the business.The main area of expertise are broken roughly in two areas - Art direction and visualising. Currently working on freelance art direction for large in-house commercial studios and, secondly, visualising food photography scamps and illustration for a main supermarket chain.I specialise in providing drawn solutions for presentations; whether it being room-set designs for photography, catalogue page designs or artist's impressions from plans. Using my creative background, I organise and manage whole photography projects, stream-lining these from design to completion, ensuring it is delivered on-time and within budget.
