The primary objective of this research project was to assess the herbicide degradation potential in a stormwater wetland that receives agricultural runoff and to study the involved bacterial communities. Stormwater wetlands, strategically positioned at the watershed outlets, serve as natural catchment areas for pollutants carried by runoff waters. This study unveiled the significant contaminant bioremediation potential of the stormwater wetland.
