  Responsible to maintain and support a whole set of intranet applications, both in-house and commercial, running on top of J2EE and .NET technologies. Application domains included a Content Management System (Vignette) used to host the intranet, employee on-boarding checklists, intranet content search, and extraction, transformation and load (ETL) of information across different applications.Technology-wise most of the application ran on top of the J2EE stack, including Vignette CMS, Weblogic, Grails, JSR168 portlets, Hibernate, Quartz. In the .NET arena, Visual Studio 2008 and ASP.NET were used to create web applications.Additionally, Maven, Hudson and Sonar were used for Continuous Integration (CI), and together with Test Driven Development practices, to assure software quality. Show less As on-site project leader I managed an off-shore team of ten developers and designers, collaborating with a solution manager to define the application road map and priorities, and communicating application development milestones and progress to the stakeholders.I was responsible to gather business requirements and define the architecture of a Web 2.0 self-service application for consulting financial information (leases and loans) and submitting wire transfers. The application was built using latest technologies and frameworks (J2EE, GWT, Spring, Struts, iBatis) and integrated with other enterprise application using different approaches (ETL, JMS and web services).The application included as well a dashboard with charts and tables presenting metrics and trends to the user, having the option to export the information in a printable format (PDF).
