Reporting to the Processing Manager, manage the Subsurface Imaging (SI) Training Department, identify and plan technical and non-technical training, including the design and delivery of bespoke training. Coordinate with CGG University for corporate training programs in APAC region. Responsible for the design, development and delivery of new hire training for geophysicists.• Established a new training team in APAC. Trained and mentored 2 Technical Trainers from Operations.• Designed and implemented training strategies through continual dialog and communication with the HR Business Partner, Management and directly with Employees. This allowed the workforce to improve Productivity and Technically competency in a challenging business environment.• Redesigned a New Hire Training Program for geophysicists emphasizing on Blended and Experiential Learning. Delivered trainings to more than 40 new hires which allowed them to be technically effective within 6 months, compared with up to a year previously. Show less Reporting to the VP CGGU who was based in France. Represent CGGU in the Asia-Pacific region and coordinate with the regional management to promote and communicate corporate training programs and activities. Responsible for collection of training needs, training budget and scheduling of training calendar for regional offices.• Planned and executed the Training Calendar in 2012-2013 for the APAC region consisting of 800+ employees in 7 offices and within an annual budget of US$300K. This was done by working with Management from multiple business lines to identify pain points and by analyzing historical training data to identify and assess training needs. Show less Reporting to the CGGU Training Manager. Primarily responsible for the delivery of technical training in Geophysics and Seismic Data Processing for the 7 Asia-Pacific sites (Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Perth, Jakarta, Beijing, Jakarta and Mumbai).• Primary Technical Trainer for Seismic Data Processing for CGG in the Asia-Pacific region from 2008 – 2015. • Designed and delivered a customized training schedule to over 400 geophysicists in a new seismic processing software. This allowed the Subsurface Imaging division to successfully rollout the deployment of the software from 2010 – 2012 with minimal disruption to operational productivity. • Working with Operations and Sales, developed and delivered customized trainings in Seismic Data Processing to Oil & Gas Companies like Petronas (Malaysia), PTTEP (Thailand), PVEP (Vietnam) and Nippon Oil (Japan) as part of Project requirements. This allowed successful completion of Projects with high customer satisfaction Show less

      Data analyst intern

Intern with HP Inc., Ink Supplies Operations as part of NUS-ISS Train and Intern Program. The internship was from June to early September 2017.Currently working on 2 projects:1) Using statistical techniques, proved that a change in supply for a product component in a print cartridge resulted in a significant performance difference but still within acceptable specifications. This project validated the use of the new material in production without effecting quality and productivity.2) Using classification machine learning techniques, investigated and identified the potential causes of an intermittent product failure. Results can potentially save thousands of dollars due to scrapping of products. Show less

      Nov 2017 - Apr 2019
      Senior consultant - data science

      • Using Cognitive and open-source ML libraries, developed the data processing pipeline for Just Analytics’ Call Analytics Solution. This pipeline applies NLP tasks to audio calls (transcription, translation, NER etc.) which are then used to build relationship graphs. The outputs are then stored on Azure Cognitive Search, Cosmos DocDB and GraphDB for analytics.• Built a DL object detection model for an aerospace MRO, by using Azure’s Custom Vision service to demonstrate the feasibility of detecting and measuring possible defects on the surface of an aircraft part.• For a large international auditing firm, used NLP on publicly available news articles to identify potential key phrases (using Phrase vector embeddings, cosine similarities and clustering methods) that could help identity companies with possible financial concerns. • Delivered technical presentations on ML/Data Science topics as part of Pre-Sales activities as well as at organized events such as Microsoft Data & AI Day (Sri Lanka, February 2018), Azure Tech Days (Singapore, March 2018). • Delivered and developed trainings in Microsoft Power BI to build Interactive reports and dashboards. AI Singapore (AISG) is a national AI programme launched by the National Research Foundation (NRF) to anchor deep national capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI).• Oct 2020 - April 2021 Led a team of 5 (4 Engineers + 1 PM) to develop an end-to-end Computer Vision solution for a vertically integrated engineering group with global presence. The project objective was to build a pipeline to train a custom Object Detection model to be deployed by the customer in a real-time video analytics environment. The models were built using transfer learning of YOLOv4 and Faster-RCNN base models. The solution was designed to be customizable (config files) and traceable (various logging). It also included Jupyter notebooks for data EDA and a Streamlit application to analyze model performance.• May - Nov 2020 Led a team of 4 (3 Engineers + 1 PM) to develop an end-to-end NLP application (Ingest/Prepare/Train/Infer) for a Singapore Government Agency. The objectives were to process reports for automated Named Entity Extraction (NER), abstractive summarization and document classification. Models were built using BiLSTM-CRF and BERT-based algorithms. Application was built to be configurable and extensible, together with a set of notebooks to allow users to analyze data and model results in future model retraining.Other responsibilities:- Developed courseware content for LearnAI, AI Singapore's learning portal for public learners. Since Dec 2020, became Head of Courseware team.- Designer and Program Head for AI Singapore's latest apprenticeship programme AIDP.- Represent AI Singapore in some public/client speaking engagements (AI for Everyone Presenter) Show less
