      May 2020 - Oct 2024

As the second shift manufacturing team leader, I supervised and trained employees in manufacturing processes, including processes within packaging, filling, label generation, and large machinery operation. I worked closely with multiple departments to ensure a high-quality standard of work in a rapid and orderly fashion. Often, I would assist in the creation and completion of PRs, lending my experience, experience, expertise, and advice to the QA and Tech Ops teams, in order to solve issues that arise during manufacturing processes. I would identify and correct documentation issues, ensuring the manufacturing procedures are clear and precise. In times of limited personnel, I took measures to fin in the gaps, quickly learning to operate large manufacturing machines, where headcount was unavailable. I also tackled PPI projects to improve upon site processes. Part of my time included travelling to another site to flex as a scientist for the tissue culture team, improving many of their processes and developing trainings for various technical aspects of tissue culture. Show less Working for Thermo Fisher Scientific, I helped combat the novel SARS-CoV-2 pandemic by manufacturing components of the MagMAX and TaqPath COVID-19 testing kits. Within a few months, I took on the conductor role, leading the filling teams for the second shift. My duties as a conductor were to lead and train other employees for the filling position, ensure paperwork and jobs are fulfilled to regulatory authorities’ standards, entering transactions into the company database, and to ensure operations within the filling department flow smoothly with other departments.
