  Project (Central Water Commission): Physical Based Mathematical Modelling for Estimation of Sediment rate and Sediment Transport in seven River Basins in India funded by World Bank. ➢ Worked as the assistant junior hydrologist for the project➢ Responsible for analysis of historical Gauge, Discharge, Suspended Sediment and cross-section data➢ Responsible for analysis of dam reservoir inflow and outflow data, reservoir level regulated flow➢ Responsible for compare of CWC point rainfall and IMD spatial rainfall data➢ Flood Frequency Assessment using HEC SSP➢ Analysis of SRTM 30m DEM data and compare with ALOS Pulser DEM data➢ Extract the cross section from mentioned DEM and compare with observed cross section data➢ Responsible to develop HEC RAS1d sediment generation model of Barak River using Quasi unsteady➢ Responsible to calibrate the model for 3 years including flood years and validate for 1 year against the observed CWC GDS data➢ Responsible to check sensitive analysis with different sediment generation functions such as Ackers -white, Engelund and Hansen, Toffaleti and Yang➢ Responsible to make sensitive runs such as 20% increased and decreased (manning’s, boundary condition Water level and discharge and sediment) and changed the downstream boundary condition as normal depth➢ Responsible to develop catchment sediment generation 2 d model of 18 sub-basins of Barak and 6 subbasins of Naramada using openLISM tool➢ Responsible to analysis of soil type, land use and land cover, slope and terrain of above mentioned subbasins➢ Calibrate and validate the model against the observed data for reasonable years including flood year➢ Responsible to analyse 2 d result maps such as infiltration, rainfall, soil loss, soil detachment and deposition➢ Responsible to develop scenario runs such as deforestation and afforestation➢ Responsible to write monthly progress report and deliverable reports under supervision of TL & DTL Show less

  My role as a Graduate Engineer with WMC team is to work on building 1D/2D model for UK rivers using tool such as Flood Modeller, Infoworks (ICM) and HEC RAS.I am involved in major projects like “Hydraulic performance Check (HPC) for various screens in UK region where my job is to build 1D hydraulic culvert model for these sites, do the flood risk assessment of proposed trash screens, generate the JBA toolkit and write the technical note.Apart from this, I am working on various River Restoration project with Nature Based Solution UK counterpart team where I am responsible to carry out the HEC RAS 2d model and calculate the sediment entrainment for the entire reach.Worked on Bishops Cleeve and Woodmancote 2D ICM model where I am responsible to update the structures such as culverts and bridges in existing model and analyse the result for different scenarios also develop the technical note.
