      After high school I was offered the Receiving Supervisor position @ Best Products. Was still 17 at the time. Within a year promoted to Warehouse Manager. At that time @ 18 years old was the youngest department head in the company. Started out working in the warehouse stocking material and moved into part time sales during my Junior year in high school.

      Promoted to QAM in November and successfully guided the facility through initial ISO- 9002 audit in mid-December. The 2nd Kilsby Facility to become certified by Lloyd's Quality Assurance a 3rd party register. was responisble for all inbound inventory and stocking. Implemented and completed a 2 year plan to reorginize all of the stocking locations in the warehouse by sales priority (A thru D) like commodity, and size, seperated by heat number, within 1 set of upright stocking locations.

      transferred to the Portland facility as Sales Manager but kept responsibilities as Operations Manager for Seattle & Portland as the AMPO's in both facilities were readied to take on the full responsibility of MPO. transferred to our Kent Washington facility to become Operations Manager for the Seattle, Portland & Spokane facilities. After a year of dual responsibilities, was given the opportuntiy to just manage inside sales with change in managerment was asked to head both inside sales and operations. Once the operation merger was completed was transferred back to position of QAM for the Dallas facility. During this time I was also given the opportunity to become a company trainer for "Warehouse Automation" the use of bar codes for receiving, stocking, pulling & loading customer orders and OMS- Order Management System to track orders flowing through our warehouse to the customer. The company sent me to about 70% of the locations to implement this process. As we merged the operations of the old Kilsby Roberts facility into the EMJ Dallas facility, moved into Operations as AMPO After the merger of KR & Jorgensen Steel was transferred to Dallas facility as QAM. By June '95 the Dallas branch as well as the plate processing center located at the Dallas facility had been audited by Lloyd's for certification to ISO-9002. The company put me on a team of personnel who went from branch to branch getting them prepared to successfully complete their initial ISO audit performed by a 3rd party, Lloyd's Quality Assurance.
