It takes into consideration the Aims of Scouting, to encourage the Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Social and Spiritual Development of young people.The BPSA is broken down into 6 different parts: Squire Training - Scouting technical skills, leadership development, and governance; Rover Skills - Holding a leadership position for six or more months; organising and running activities; Service - Provided 8 years of leadership to the Venturer Scout section (15-18); Physical - Underwent 12 months (and ongoing) of physical training to increase fitness and strength; Personal Growth - Learned the basics of ballroom dancing, which continues to today and into the future; Community Development - Created a framework of expectations of tutors within the Vermont South Community House, as well as a consultation process for stakeholders, an assessment tool for programs, and a break-down of their emergency management system.
