Weight and Balance Calculation: To calculate the total weight of the aircraft, including passengers, cargo, baggage, and fuel, and determine the optimal distribution of this weight to ensure the aircraft’s center of gravity falls within safe limits. 2. Safety Compliance: To ensure that the aircraft adheres to weight and balance limitations specified by the aircraft manufacturer and regulatory authorities. This is crucial for flight safety. 3. Fuel Management: To calculate the amount of fuel required for the flight, taking into account factors like distance, weather conditions, and alternate airport considerations. 4. Load Planning: To plan the loading of passengers, cargo, and baggage to distribute weight evenly and maintain proper balance. This includes determining where and how the items should be placed in the aircraft. 5. Communication: Load and Trim Officers communicate with the flight crew and ground personnel to coordinate the loading process and make adjustments as needed. 6. Documentation: To maintain records of the weight and balance calculations, fuel quantities, and other relevant data for each flight. Show less 1.
