      Attorney

My associates and I focus on advising acute care healthcare providers and their vendor partners on business issues, transactional matters, regulatory compliance, and advocacy matters. We have extensive experience in compliance investigations, vendor selection, vendor evaluation, and technology deployment in all health settings. Our clients are both domestic and international and operate for-profit and nonprofit organizations. I have worked with individual providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, neuropsychologists, and their respective practices to achieve and maintain financial success. With a long career working with the largest healthcare providers in the USA and all their related entities, I understand healthcare operations at all levels. I have supported clients on regulatory issues, compliance, licensure, HIPAA, state privacy laws, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, telemedicine and telehealth considerations, and in the area of fraud and abuse, including federal and state anti-kickback laws, physician self-referral laws, and the False Claims Act. In addition, I counsel investment funds, private equity, and technology firms on healthcare regulatory diligence, mergers/acquisitions, and investment strategies. I have worked with start-up and early-stage healthcare organizations and entrepreneurs. Show less
