  Peer Support

  As a peer support leader, I encouraged independence and social skills, created a safe space for expression, taught organizational skills, promoted respect and inclusivity, and fostered connections within the year 8 tutor group. I was committed to weekly meetings, weekly sessions and supported the students on a five-day camp. Our weekly sessions were activities that implemented these values. Overall, I served as a role model and offered guidance as a peer who had experienced similar challenges.

  Paid work in a position of responsibility and leadership

  My role at Seaside Fresh consisted of many tasks and responsibilities which taught me resilience, customer service skills and leadership qualities. I acted as a leader by recruiting new employees and teaching them the required skills and techniques for the job. Other tasks I had to do included: selling products, answering the phone for customer orders, preparing shop materials, packaging seafood and products, cleaning and washing, assisting with pre-paid orders, and working with a great team.

  Leadership role; committee member of a student-led group

  I am currently a significant contributor to my High School's Shabbat and Sports committees. We organise a weekly Shabbat program that the whole of high school participates in. We meet once a week & my unique responsibility is ensuring everything is organised (printing run sheets, reminders) & also helping lead the morning program. In the Sports committee, we meet weekly to plan exciting inter-house sports competitions & I focus on announcements and communicating with teachers to lock in dates.
