I give programs on various topics to school groups, campers and civic groups. As a ranger I performed various resource management duties such as hazardous tree removal, mowing fields, control burns, invasive species removal, and the installation of duck boxes and bird houses. I patroled the park boundaries, water and roads by foot, boat, ATV and patrol vehicle. My job involved search and rescue on land and water, and various types of emergency medical response. I was responsible for the supervision of seasonal employees, and the correct balance of money receipts for fees collected at the park.As a park ranger II, I supervised 1 permanent park ranger II and 2 seasonal employees. I was responsible for the operation of a campground with 80 campsites and group area, and a day use area with swimming, boat ramps and a community building.
