    • BLOCK T

      Feb 2013 - Jul 2014
Front of House and Arts Administrator

During my time with the arts organisation BLOCK T, I filled the role of Front of House and Arts Administrator as well as managing several side projects. As Front of House at a dynamic and ever changing artists’ studios, I was the face of the company, dealing with both BLOCK T staff, artists and members of the public. Further to this, I also managed team rostering, liaised between senior management and the support team, took meeting minutes, disseminated information between staff, and drew up essential company documents, such as our fire safety and emergency policies. BLOCK T held a stage at Electric Picnic 2013, at which I was stage coordinator, managing a team of three others in what was a hectic, unpredictable and highly rewarding environment. Outside of my official working capacity at BLOCK T, I also ran a weekly film night and discussion group at the studios. Each film night had a specific format, opening where possible with a short talk given by an informed speaker. For example, at my invitation the Irish producer Sé Merry Doyle gave a talk and Q&A to preface our screening of ‘The Rocky Road to Dublin,’ on which Sé worked in 1968. My time with BLOCK T was hugely beneficial to me in my working career, and allowed me to develop a body of work which I am immensely proud of. Show less
