      Support to UCD O'Brien Centre for Science activities and facilities operations. The primary function of the role is to assist in the operation of the welcome centre which involves Customer Service, Facilities and Building Management, Health and safety and Teaching Support.Responsibilities and Duties:- Handle general enquiries and provide assistance to all customers both at the Welcome Centre desk and over the phone, while at all times promoting a positive professional image of Customer Service with students, staff and visitors to UCD.- Perform administrative duties related to the provision of key support services, including room booking requests and space allocation, the provision and maintenance of lost property system.- Aid in preparation, set-up, effective communication and smooth running of all relevant events, working with Event Organisers, key Event Booking Offices within UCD, and the UCD SIRC Office, as appropriate. - Provide support to the Director of Facilities in the performance of their duties.- First response to emergencies in Science Centre in conjunction with the Duty Manager.- Monitor and actively support internal and external building activities and operations, ensuring effective communications, appropriate reporting systems, and College safety and security practises.       Principal Duties and Responsibilities:• Act as the representative for the University and Director of Estates for any operational matter that arises on a shift basis.• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the University’s campus(es).• Lead, motivate and mentor members of the Estate Services team in all functional areas in the provision of exceptional service, agile working and achieving best value for money while doing so.• Collaboration and coordination with the wider Estate Services team and managers ensuring dailyoperational requirements of the Unit are achieved.
