  • Managed team of six system engineers this included handling scheduling and the goal setting/review process.• Led and designed project to modernize the QC process for Discovery including implementing an automated QC process (Baton) and replacement of all hardware and networking components.• Led project to upgrade server infrastructure for new on-air automation system (ProBel). This included building an initial image (Windows Server 2008 R2) and pushing it to all of the new HP Proliant servers and getting all of the servers racked and stacked, while ensuring network connectivity, documenting layout, and testing before on-air rollout.• Led project to implement new on-air graphics system including installation and configuration of 30 Miranda XG servers (Supermicro hardware).Led planning during rollout and testing before transitioning to the on-air environment. • Led project to install and configure new Volicon system to record all of Discovery’s on-air feeds including the racking and stacking of 20 new Supermicro servers running Windows server 2008. Completed all configurations and migration into the production environment. Ensured project was properly documented throughout utilizing AutoCAD and Visio.• Led project to upgrade audio suites and add surround sound capability which included the installation of new audio mixers and speakers. • Led project to transition Discovery’s 15 edit suites from an SD production environment to HD involving new Mac Pro’s, network infrastructure for file based workflow, and new Avid Adrenaline hardware along with various other production equipment.• Acted as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and conducted training on many mission critical on-air systems that were vital to the success of Discovery Communications.
