  This study investigates the behaviour of thrust foil air bearings (TFABs) under specified axial forces. TFABs are critical in engineering, especially for precision manufacturing and rotating machinery. My research develops a sophisticated numerical model to replicate TFAB responses, taking into account variables such as axial force, rotor dynamics, and damping effects. This work enhances our understanding of TFAB reactions to axial stresses and sheds light on how various parameters impact system stability. It also identifies crucial areas for future research, emphasizing the need for deeper exploration into TFABs' transient behavior and the effects of parameter adjustments. Addressing these gaps promises to refine our understanding and improve the practical application of TFABs. Show less
