  As an award for a case study competition, I was a Summer Intern at Dellent Consulting, a portuguese consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, focused mainly on IT and Telecommunication services.I was able to understand a company daily basis for the first time: starting from the secretariat work, crossing the B2B relationships and the hunt for the best talents and ending in the Human Resources relationship with the talents already hired by them.

  Jerónimo Martins is an International Group based in Portugal, that operates in the Food Distribution sector via its Pingo Doce, Recheio, Biedronka and Ara brands and in Specialised Retail sector via Hebe, Jeronymo and Hussel.My Summer Internship Programme occurred in the JM Logistics Centre that supplies all the stores (Pingo Doce and Recheio) of the north of Portugal. I was in the Human Resources Department, that is responsible for the management of more than 700 collaborators. During my internship I was giving administrative support in the Recruitment and Selection area and in the Training and Development area. My main responsibilities were:- Screening of candidates;- Scheduling interviews;- Support on the procedures related with the admission and demission of the workforce;- Training registration;- Employees attendance (clarification of doubts, concerns,... );- Organisation of archive and actualisation of some data bases. My main tasks were:- Identifying top students and establishing a relationship with them;- Identifying key campus staff and setting up meetings to discuss potential collaborations;- Interface with groups and clubs across campus delivering an enthusiastic message of JM Talent Programmes;- Identifying recruiting events on campus, analysing and helping JM attend the ones that are relevant;- Pinpointing the best spots to post information or events JM might want to sponsor;- Acting as a true brand message amplifier by leveraging my social network (both online and offline) to share relevant information with the academic community.
