Perhaps; my most significant accomplishment was being the very first college or university in the nation to earn the GFOA Certificate for Achievement of Excellence in Financial Reporting.   (Temporary) Interim CFO & Treasurer

  Based upon my past work experience, accomplishments, as well as professional credentials, I was asked to fill this temporary, interim position until a permanent CFO & Treasurer was hired, and began work. Carried out daily, completed past incomplete job duties, and made respective recommendations to the Board of Education. Perhaps; the most significant Board accepted and approved recommendation was the hiring of the Sikich accounting firm to conduct an indepth, comprehensive internal controls audit. As a result, Sikich identified sixty-six (66) items were found and cited to the District 86 Board of Education for action. Show less
