My role included managing a set of customers and building strong client relationships. My day to day work included helping my clients to utilise international trade products such as letters of credit and trade financing. I also spent time checking documents for compliance under the UCP.

  I spent three months with National Australia Bank's international trade team based in Singapore. I learnt about their business process, conducted training sessions and a review of trade operations.

  I help exporters manage their counter party risks on letters of credit by assessing Bank and Country risk. I also help customers manage their working capital cycles by providing off balance sheet financing on Bank lines. I manage the Bank's relationship with our strategic risk partners and provide market intel and commentary to our customers. I worked with a team of 13 managers providing day to day support which included attending customer meetings, preparing new files and monitoring ongoing compliance with strategies. I also wrote regular reviews and credit memorandums and assisted with the production of loan documentation. My role also included completing security audits. My role included managing a portfolio of clients utilising invoice and stock finance facilities. My day to day work included monitoring client usage of facilities, assisting with any queries or problems and identifying potential risk areas. I worked within a team to ensure a fantastic customer experience was delivered to all Invoice Finance clients. My role included helping to develop BNZ's Asia strategy. I also spent time helping to raise awareness of BNZ's presence and attitude towards Asia internally and externally, including conducting workshops with BNZ staff. I also represented BNZ on the Export NZ led trade mission to Indonesia in May 2013.
