      I collaborated with the City of Elkhart, IN to enhance environmental sustainability programs.I assisted in successfully disconnecting 3,000 downspouts from the cities Combined Sewer Overflow preventing over 35,000 gallons of water from entering the system.I assisted in planning and conducting Earth Day events including a “motor less” parade, re-use fashion show, and community outreach activities.I assisted in managing natural resources at the 160 acre Boot Lake Nature Preserve.I coordinated recycling education program to apartment complexes.I taught various environmental education programs to ages K-12 and community members.I assisted in environmental outreach through the Elkhart Environmental Center.I lead service learning projects for school aged groups.I wrote articles for the Elkhart Green Guide and Elkhart Green Gazette.       I completed a project to photo log the multi-use trails in the state. I used a Contour camera attached to the front of my bike to capture the photo log data. I then utilized the data to create videos using Windows Movie Maker and maps using ArcGIS. These videos and maps are designed to be used on the CT DOT website to help inform the general public about the multi-use trails and encourage their use.
