My primary role was to ensure the software product (Infection Control and Medication Stewardship) met the requirements of the customer. This is done by customer research and product design in the first instance, User Group and user led design, followed by heavy involvement at the point of release of the product: initial training of the product, train the trainer, post-implementation feedback. My role also required me to develop demo systems and scripts for sales and perform sales demonstrations and other product demos e.g. at conferences and high value complex sales presentations.• The role was a global role and required a thorough knowledge of the requirements at this scale. The company was experiencing rapid global growth at the time including national implementations in South Africa (Medicinlinc & Life Healthcare) and New Zealand and NHS Scottish government. The role and responsibilities were, in essence, a precursor role leading to my present role as outlined above.Self-motivated learning. I am responsible for the product management of the ICNET Product Suite software. I set the product strategy and design and ensure marketing and sales are supported in delivering accurate and targeted messages about the products. In the last few years I have brought several new products to market, expanding the reach of surveillance software into Public Health notifiable diseases, outbreaks and mass population vaccination management as part of the global fight against emerging and evolving disease threats.Whereas the original ICNET product suite was focused on hospital infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship we now have our nation suite of products that allow us to record and control outbreaks at a national level. These new products are used by public health and government bodies to identify, record, manage and control disease cases and outbreaks across both hospital and community environments. Show less I developed and implemented the product strategy for the ICNET suite of software products, supporting growth in existing and new markets in the UK, EMEA, APAC and North America. My role covered product strategy, product design and product management. I brought several successful new products to market including:- Audit/Bundle tools covering areas such as hand hygiene to increased our market share.- ECDC Point Prevalence Survey software to help the Welsh Government collect and collate their national survey data. The product has now been commercialised and interest is being shown worldwide. Customer feedback in their recently published report included: “better consistency of infection diagnosis across Wales and a quick and easy way of determining the infection status of patients” and “decreased workload for data entry”.- Infection Checker app, which consolidates an 80-page rule set into an app that allows clinicians to determine which specific infection type a patient has acquired.
