Following dramatic improvement within manufacturing operations undertook challenge to address critical issues within underperforming and neglected engineering group. Increased RMA throughput more than 50% and reduced in-process returned motors by 90% from 1,000 to less than 100 through enhancement of Returned Material Authorization (RMA) system.Ensured engineering support for SSS integration yielding 24% decrease in production space, 67% First Pass Yield Improvement, and 25% labor reduction. Delivered massive production floor improvements while reversing negative perception of Lean manufacturing’s value and encouraging cross-training and process improvement mindset, yielding 10% productivity increase in first year.Negotiated significantly improved labor contract with Legal Counsel, offering management flexibility and facilitating culture change needed to achieve desired business improvements.
