Led design and development of ground-breaking end-of-production-line testers, winning leadership/board approval for $800K+ capital and resource investment to replace outdated testers.Enabled new product development, replacing 2D with advanced 3D design system, plus integrated Product Data Management and design automation. Orchestrated smooth integration of engineering systems of DC armature business acquired in 2012, and participated in due diligence for acquisition of one Gear Company and two DC motor companies. Increased RMA throughput more than 50% and reduced in-process returned motors by 90% from 1,000 to less than 100 through enhancement of Returned Material Authorization (RMA) system.Ensured engineering support for SSS integration yielding 24% decrease in production space, 67% First Pass Yield Improvement, and 25% labor reduction. Delivered massive production floor improvements while reversing negative perception of Lean manufacturing’s value and encouraging cross-training and process improvement mindset, yielding 10% productivity increase in first year.Negotiated significantly improved labor contract with Legal Counsel, offering management flexibility and facilitating culture change needed to achieve desired business improvements.
