Senior Non Commissioned officer Load Plans/adjutant.I was responsible for a team of 3 personnel, specifically selected to control the day to day planning and supervision of aircraft loads in and out of RAF Akrotiri air base. • Advising senior management of potential aircraft flow issues and have the ability to adapt easily to real time changing scenarios. • The leading authority on all Sail/Fly loads out of Akrotiri into Afghanistan. • Ensuring that the daily shift supervisor was correctly briefed on all aircraft flow issues for each 24hr period and for ensuring the daily flying programme was correct and updated at all times.Aug 10 - Apr 11. Senior Non Commissioned officer duty shift. Responsible to the shift duty air movements officer and duty co-ord for a team of 20 personnel required to handle all passenger and freight aircraft, military and civilian in and out of RAF Akrotiri. Training direction ranged from basic recruits who had just completed basic recruit training to warrant officers who had completed more than 30 years service. Subjects taught. UKMAMS (United Kingdom Mobile Air Movements Squadron). Required to deploy to any location in the world at little or no notice to assist with the movement of military cargo and passengers for all Operations and exercises. Responsibilities included building, paper working and loading/ unloading air freight and passengers from all RAF air transport aircraft and military chartered civilian transport aircraft.Oct 98 - Mar 00.
