  Royal Bronson Way Award in Non-Western History Beloit College History Department May 2020 The award is presented to outstanding graduating history major(s) with a minimum GPA of 3.6 in history. Established in 1990 by a 1936 alumnus (Fillmore Thomas) to recognize Professor Way, who taught political science and American history from 1907 to 1937. A much-admired teacher, he had a special interest in U.S. diplomatic history.
