  Working in the incentive travel industry, I helped design incentive programs and proposals to include concept creation, logistic coordination and contract negotiations. We executed successful incentive trips and events for some of the largest corporate sales teams in the U.S. Our incentive programs included multi level incentive packages with year long marketing campaigns direct mailed to the sales force culminating in multi level trips as long as two weeks. Participant registrations were detailed to include room and airfare, daily excursions, meal selections and activities such as golf tournaments and large galas. Working at Sunbelt gave me my education in client relations, the importance of attention to detail, time management, event logistics and the meaning of a good work ethic. Show less

  As the Director of Marketing, I was responsible for creating a multi-level marketing budget and program for thirteen markets throughout the southern US for the Flying Saucer locations. This included radio, print and standardized collateral to increase brand awareness as well as capitalize on the uniqueness of each location. During my tenure, we opened five new stores and saw great growth for the brand.

  Freelance Event Planner

  I am fortunate to be able to plan events and weddings a few times a year, when I have the time. When my children were young, I was able to stay at home for six years while working freelance and for nine months in 2013, when there was a family need. Working freelance has been uplifting and challenging. I have been able to plan weddings, create marketing plans, and help smaller organizations raise funds. While I am not always in a position to do freelance full time, I wouldn’t give it up completely. I enjoy taking on special projects, such as weddings too much to do that. Show less
