  Systems AdministratorThe main part of my day-today work was surveillance of an e-mail system based on LINUX platform which included a front-end mail server (postfix - REDHAT), Anitispam Symatec (FEDORA), and Keriomail server as a mail-archive. It involved filtering of log-files in case of false spam detection and rerouting such messages to its destination.The other main part was traffic shaping and rerouting data flows in case of decrease in network performance of Internet channels and data flows shaping upon their priorities.Also I configured and supported all concomitant services as DNS, DHCP, IP filtering, TCP/IP routing.For accessing to Internet for users was used a SQUID proxy server (Linux based software).Areas of responsibility:1.   Last year I installed 8 sites based on IPsec/GRE + EIGRP as VPN solution . As core VPN IPSec end-points were used CISCO ASA5510 8.3/8.2 IOS firewalls.I tested and impelemented mobile VPN solutions for connection ATM to the ATM network of the bank. (GPRS,4G,DSl,ADSL and etc.)I installed and configured as Level 2 and Lever 2 switches (26XX and 35XX and 3750 series) along with routers 28XX and 29XX series. For network performance and utilization were used numerous software tools which include Solarwinds software (Network Performance Monitor, NetFlow Traffic Analyzer ,Network Bandwidth Analyzer Pack) and free software from LUNIX systems as tcpdump, Wireshark, nmap tools. For IDS/IPS monitoring was used StoneSoft solution (StoneGate filrewalls).Along with configuration VPN channels and administration of Cisco Unified Call Manager myday-to-day work was logging events and logging a level of network utilization from more than 200 pieces of Cisco equipment into MySQL database along with txt files and writing Perl scripts to filter them in order to point out bottlenecks of existing network and data flows causing decrease in the network performance.
