      2012 - 2013
      Master's degree Civil Engineering

I graduated with a focus in environmental modelling. After taking a variety of courses, computational fluid dynamics and its associated software (FLUENT, StarCCM+, etc.) quickly took hold as my favorite discipline.

      Researcher

During my last semester at The University of Texas at Austin, in partial fulfillment of my degree, I engaged in a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) research report to determine surface deposition velocities of outdoor contaminants. CFD software was (at the time) incapable of calculating these values. A recent update has allowed for the completion of the project, so I have returned to take the research to the next step.

      Dec 2014 - Jul 2018
      Staff Engineer Associate

Since Fall 2017, I have acted as project co-manager for the development of air permit applications for a greenfield chemical complex, and project technical lead for the air permit applications of several plants at the complex. I interface with the client, team members, and the CRA to keep project deadlines moving smoothly, and resolve any technical issues that surface.Since beginning at Zephyr, I have prepared air permitting packages for clients from a variety of different industries (including oil and gas, chemical plants, and processing plants). My technical responsibilities included reviewing regulatory applicability and creating calculations specific to the client's equipment, facility, and permitting strategy. Show less
