  Provide leadership and oversight to claim supervisors and claim associates, including support staff. Participates in the development, communication and successful execution of MAPFRE’s claims handling strategy. Ensures timely and efficient delivery of the company’s obligations and responsibilities to policyholders and the public in accordance with departmental standards, as well as legal, regulatory and policy requirements. Works closely with SIU and legal resources to identify and thoroughly investigate claims that may be non-meritorious and ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resist fraud and minimize leakage. Ensures that all regulatory and internal claim handling requirements are consistently measured with a focus on continuous improvement. Ensures that workflows, tools, processes and procedures receive periodic review to identify where improvements in the levels of efficiency and effectiveness can be realized through a combination of automated, manual, and/or outsourced solutions.
