We scraped the internet for commercial land available for purchase and we developed a machine learning algorithm to rank each land, allowing real estate developers, audit firms and enterprises to find the best spot to start their business.Powered by Autodesk and Google Maps Platform, we leveraged their Cloud API named Forge, in order to be able to place arbitrary buildings in a live 3D satellite view. This would allow customers and enterprises to plan the emplacement of their new businesses right before their eyes, without having to request demos from companies which would have to recreate the landscape in AutoCAD.The business model involved a B2B and B2C approach, as well as selling custom versions to town halls which would plan to use it in order to plan the development of future engagements. The tech stack we used is the following: React for the front-end, NodeJS for the back-end with MongoDB for database management with Express, Python with Tensorflow and sklearn for Machine Learning, nginx for the web server, Docker for container isolation with docker-compose, Selenium WebDriver for internet scraping, Azure Traffic Insight for traffic conditions and incidents, Google Maps Platform for searching nearby facilities and map projections, Letsencrypt for HTTPS certifications, DigitalOcean for web hosting, Autodesk Forge for 3D viewing models, HTML & CSS for design.
