      My first book, Courage in the Fire, first hit the virtual and physical shelves in 2016. This book was written to be is a testimony, a reflection, and a presentation of the effects of bullying on young people especially. Through a fictional story, based on a true series of events, it is meant to re-sensitize children and young adults to how damaging name-calling, teasing and physical harm can really be. Since then, Courage in the Fire has grown into a flourishing community of hundreds of people who serve as advocates, supporters, and a family for young people and their tribes (parents, siblings, teachers, etc.). My role as an advocate and leader extends to those in need of resources, a listening ear, and a community to speak up and speak out against anti-bullying. Courage in the Fire is a resource for the community.
